Component One

Ghana's capacity to implement the EPA and to engage in EPA-related is reinforced

The complementary service contract will fund:

  • a comprehensive Institutional Strengthening, and Human Resource Capacity Needs Assessment
  • familiarization and orientation visits to be undertaken by the MoTI staff identified to be seconded to work at the EPA Secretariat (Botswana, Mauritius and Cameroon, as well as Cote d’Ivoire)
  • Training courses for staff of EPA Secretariat, MoTI and other partner institutions

Expected outputs under Component 1:

  • Strong and proactive national ownership of and management of the EPA
  • Institutional strengthening and human resources capacity building (MoTI and other stakeholders)
  • Enabling trade rules, legislation and technical regulations supporting investment and the development of socially responsible enterprises in Ghana
